In 2026, I had the incredible opportunity to design an official poster for Metallica’s show in Chorzów, Poland, as part of their M72 Europe Summer Stadium Tour.

The brief was to combine the identity of Metallica with elements of Poland. I came up with a dark and dynamic scene featuring a twisted version of a winged Polish hussar and his horse, with a sense of motion and speed reflecting the energy and heaviness of the band’s music.

As a long-time Metallica fan, I also included a few hidden references to the band’s music and visual history. The horseman is a nod to “The Four Horsemen”, while the lightning references “Ride the Lightning”. The color palette draws inspiration from the iconic Master of Puppets artwork, while the explosion and imagery of war reflect themes that have appeared throughout Metallica’s music.

The project became a particularly memorable experience for me. I had the opportunity to attend the Metallica Pop-Up Shop in Chorzów, meet fans, sign posters, and, of course, see the band perform live. Getting to create artwork for a band I’ve been listening to since childhood was an absolute dream come true.
